You know your dog. We know how to build for it. Measure, customize, order. From there, production is on us.
Four measurements with a soft tape measure. Follow the guides in the 3D customizer, or have your vet take them during a consult. Accurate numbers are all we need.
Watch the chair rebuild itself around your dog's numbers, live in 3D. Then make it yours: colors, wheel setup, and the support accessories your dog's condition calls for.
Assign the chair to your pet's profile and check out. Its measurements stay on file for adjustments, remakes, and whatever comes next in your dog's recovery.
Every Petwheels is made to order for one specific dog. It ships assembled, in the colors you chose, with the fit already dialed in to the measurements you entered.
All four are taken with a soft tape measure on a standing dog. The 3D customizer shows exactly where each one runs. If your dog can't stand comfortably, or is recovering from surgery, have your veterinarian take them.
Along your dog's side, with the dog standing square. It sets the length of the frame and where the harness sits.
Keep the tape parallel to the floor. From the floor to the hip on a standing dog. It positions the axle and sets the wheel size, so the spine stays level.
Measure on a hard floor, not carpet.Across the hips at the widest point. It sets the spacing between the side frames so nothing rubs while walking.
Width, not circumference.Around the thickest part of the thigh. It sizes the leg supports and slings that carry your dog's weight comfortably.
Snug against the fur, never tight.A growing collection of Petwheels in the wild. Send us a photo after the first walk. We'd love to feature your dog here.

"We fit a lot of mobility aids at the clinic. Ordering against the exact measurements we take in the consult room, and having them stay on the patient's file, changed our workflow."
Dra. Carolina M., small animal rehab vet
"Rex hadn't walked in six months. His chair arrived, we adjusted two straps, and he was chasing the ball that same weekend. I'm still in tears."
Marina, Rex's mom
"Eleven of our rescue dogs are on Petwheels now. Made to measure means we never have to force a dog into an almost-right chair."

Every chair is built from your dog's own four measurements, not picked from S/M/L sizes. On top of that, the straps and supports have an adjustment range for fine-tuning. If the measurements were taken correctly and something still doesn't sit right, contact us and we'll work with you to make it right.
We strongly recommend it. A vet can confirm a wheelchair is appropriate for your dog's condition, take precise measurements, and supervise the first fittings. This matters most for dogs recovering from surgery or with neurological conditions. Vets and clinics can also create a professional account, keep patients as pets on file, and order on an owner's behalf.
Each chair is made to order, so production takes a few business days before shipping. You can follow every stage under My orders in your account.
The frame is digitally fabricated in strong engineering polymers, and every part that touches your dog is a soft, flexible material that's gentle on skin and washable. The whole chair is light for its size (the customizer shows a live weight estimate) and any single part can be remade if it ever wears out.
Petwheels is a mobility aid, not a medical device. Talk to your vet before use, especially after surgery or injury. Start with short, supervised sessions, watch your dog's posture and energy, and build up gradually.
Dogs in recovery gain muscle back, and young dogs grow. The adjustment range covers small changes. For bigger ones, individual parts can be rebuilt to the new measurements instead of replacing the whole chair. Update your pet's profile and contact us.
Yes. We want these chairs on as many dogs as possible, and rescues are where they're needed most. Sign up with the NGO account type and get in touch. We'll find a way to help.
Petwheels started as a final-year Product Design project at UFSC (Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Brazil) in 2021. The idea: use digital fabrication and parametric design to make wheelchairs for dogs with motor disabilities affordable, custom-fit, and repairable.
A traditional dog wheelchair is expensive and rarely fits perfectly. Petwheels is built from your dog's own measurements at a fraction of the cost, because digital fabrication makes one-off manufacturing viable. Every dog gets a chair made for its body. That's the whole pitch.
